I'm glad Pete Hegseth has pledged not to drink if he is confirmed as Defense Secretary. So, I guess he can still sexually harass women, mismanage funds, discriminate against women service members, push for a Christian Nationalist agenda, and be a virulent Islamaphobe?

He only said what they wanted to hear. Totally meaningless, empty gesture, all for show. Does not absolve or negate his previous actions and intent.
He denied he had any issue with alcohol, he admitted nothing and demonstrated no remorse. He downplayed his own reality.
