I’ve loved Matheus Cunha since he was at Hertha but any move feels impossible in January - it makes no sense for Wolves.

If they were rock bottom of the league, Arsenal and the player have more leverage, but he can still play a big role in their survival and retain his value during the summer.

Completely agree. Will take an astronomical fee and that should be reserved for someone else. Would have loved Kudus, but that seems unlikely now with Bowen injury.

Hopefully, he turns out to be more robust than Jesus, if we get him. I can’t see Jesus playing 2x90 minutes a week for the rest of the season. It would feel very risky to bet on Jesus fitness ☹️

But you’ve pointed out Sterling and Trossard who are both more natural wide options. Cunha is best in central areas, where he can turn and drive with the ball.

I think Leo is best as a false 9/SS. I don't love him when he's forced to play as a touchline winger. Couldn't Cunha do a bit of both as well as provide central progression/driving which I think we lack. Maybe he's not right, but the options feel slim!
