My coffee cup for many years was hp merch for the past two years or so I got sad every time I had a cup of coffee looking at it. That’s not a feeling I want from my coffee so it finally got replaced in December.

Long before Rowling got "peaked" or whatever they call anti trans radicalisation, I was disappointed that HP was so popular given how much better stuff there is out there. But I guess people like to feel part of a community or fandom.

On my trip from London to Stockholm yday I saw kids and adults wearing HP merch. Some of it obviously old, and perhaps just a comfy sweater for travel, but a lot of shiny new stuff. Might just be concentration of folks at airport but it still doesn't feel like it's going away.

Oh, it's definitely not. And it won't any time soon. :( People like their magical boy wizards a lot more than they care about us. I've given up on friends who were like, "Yeah, she's pretty toxic, but it made me feel so good as a kid. I don't want to give it up." So I gave them up instead.
