Can we all pause for a moments and recognize that Outlaw Star is one of the single best science-fantasy genre animes and that it doesn't get love for that accomplishment? The man had a gun that literally used spells as ammunition.

A key memory for me was the episode cats girls and spaceships. I remember the episode name thats special cause i only remember anime names most times: the episode is so tragically constructed. Where the viewer is left with most of the burden of knowledge. Hawkins himself has no idea what happened.

People get irrationally upset when you combine science fiction and fantasy, for some reason. But you're right, and you should say it. It's a masterpiece for all time.
