Just 2 remarks. As far as I am aware when anonymous wiki editting was still possible an edit was just assigned to the IP somebody used at a specific moment. So I don't think (could be wrong) not finding another edit by that anon means much. [1/2]
That may be a rabbit hole for someone else who isn't terrible at other languages haha
But still there is another, plausible explanation. Internet rot. When I see how damn impossible it is sometimes to track down dead GW links I don't even want to imagine how it is for old privately hosted forums or pages.
I have often said that, contrary to what people say, stuff on the internet doesn't last forever, it only lasts as long as anyone cares to maintain it.
2) One of my younger contributions was, on the old Warseer forums, I managed to reduce the amount of "bolters are caseless, these artists are bad" posting by proving that it had never been the case (🥁) that bolters were caseless - that was autoguns!
And I am at least a little sympathetic to anything about bolters because 40k weapons are always nonsense and written by people from the Midlands who had definitely only seen guns in a museum hah
As for the RWBY angle, I can just recommend a certain video essay on the topic, and that's not just me continuing to push for the first feature length Snipe & Wib video…

also i've actually read that 40k/RWBY fanfic.. it actually did a decent enough job for both franchises.
