Apologies to anyone who has been expecting a response from me. My cat is still ill and worry is eating up all my available brainpower.

Quote post with a movie from the year you were born

It's worth remembering that The Art of of War is actually a manual for failsons who have no business running their father's army being told things like "you have to fucking feed your men, genius."

Slamming my face into the last boss of Nightreign over and over. I am neither good enough to carry, nor lucky enough to find a pubbie group which can make up for my own defecits.

thought this was really beautiful

Orbital Blues: Afterburn is now available on our webstore! This expansion adds a collection of new spaceships laid out like a retro car magazine, a heap of GM advice (including new rules for.. Joy?!), and a sprawling sandbox adventure across a solar system. soulmuppet-store.co.uk/pages/orbita...

What if Kitchen Nightmares... Was a #ttrpg? And your GM was Ramsey And the players were as a new rotation of annoying, problem filled, messes of staff each week? Sound fun? molomoot.itch.io/serving-up-d...

This is 100% my philosophy too. I'll always prefer to make weird stuff I love, for a small group of weirdos, over twisting me and my work into unnatural shapes for mass appeal. You really don't need millions of followers to make a living as a creative, just like ~500-1000 folk who always show up.

It's called MSG and it's the only way to fly.

I like writing ttrpg baddies. Just the worst people imaginable. Let your players turn every random NPC into either a romance option or a legend, but baddies should be the worst.

These glimpses into the private lives of the First Families were always superficial. A flash of the ankle to prove that behind the drone strikes and extraordinary rendition and learned helplessness was a human touch. It was always a PR trick and now they don't even care to finesse us.

I did at least make my fantasy heartbreaker a one pager. I am being indulgent by writing a second page for setting, which is almost entirely going to be me throwing words at a wall until they stick.

They Will Call You Violent

John Wick: Something with reach, 1d10 damage D&D Sommelier, opening a huge cabinet:

'Non-lethal' is a term useful to the kind of people who think once you recover from an injury or illness you go back to 'normal', rather than it permenantly altering the trajectory of your life. It's also a lie.

復讐者 #NIGHTREIGN

My week off has been anything but relaxing, but our little family is still together, and with my mask fitting next week I am optimistic I might start to feel more human soon.

Don't listen to the people bleating on social media that "no one is doing anything." What they are actually saying is that THEY aren't doing anything. The reality is that folks are working in every corner of the world, doing so much to keep themselves and others alive, while building the future.

The Night Lord has fucking hands. Exclusively playing support casters (Revenant, Recluse, Duchess kinda) really does put me at the mercy of pubbies. I might have to learn a tankier character to stand a chance.

Wandering around the house wrapped in a blanket is infinitely better than wearing a dressing gown, and I don't know why

I really miss cohost

Wandering around the house wrapped in a blanket is infinitely better than wearing a dressing gown, and I don't know why

i think about this old cohost post a lot but i've been thinking about it even more since i've been playing shin megami tensei games for the past six months

People keep telling me Revenant is bad in Nightreign, but she's the only character I win with, so maybe that's a skill issue.

Reminder: Actors are still on strike for bare minimum guard rails on the use of AI in videogames and we have been for 11 months. We have struck longer and with less resources than our on-camera colleagues.

TTRPG pro-tip you can just ask your GM to include stuff in the game, with your words, like an adult

I’ll be at UK Pride tomorrow (Saturday) in Portsmouth~ 🌈 ✨🏳️‍🌈 Come say hi if you’re there! I’ll be at the Pigeon Books stall at 4PM 💖

Nightreign is exactly what I expected it to be and is more Elden Ring, which is exactly what I wanted. I'm sure there's plenty of valid criticisim of it but I don't care. I am too busy stabbing people in the face and wondering about my team mates dubious navigating decisions.

Absolutely begging people to push back on mindless accusations that something "looks like AI." You are LITERALLY making genAI grifters' argument for them: that you can't tell the difference, and don't care to think for even a second about the images you see.

Magical girl transformation but to the GameCube jingle

Eisen spent 4 days at the vet and a specialist for suspected pancreatitis. He's now home and I spent the night on the couch keeping him company.
