I'm really loving this book, devouring it rapidly since I started the audio version yesterday. It felt immediately engaging from the beginning, gave me wonder-vibes I remember feeling from some of my favorite and most imaginative sci-fi of yesteryear...but with values I deeply care about today.

But on top of that, the characters are deep and complex, the world-building is intriguing and the aliens themselves feel really fleshed-out and unique.
