Disability should be triple what it is and shouldn't be so hard for people to get.
It also shouldn't be so virtually exclusive to physical disability or severe cognitive impairment. Many autistic people cannot work because of sensory problems that go completely unseen.
I just don't understand how people in power are so far removed, everyone who doesn't fit into their incredibly narrow criteria of worthiness is considered collateral. They have no humanity.
I don't know if this makes any difference, but I'm truly sorry you're made to feel this way. You are worth so, so much more and I hate that you aren't treated as so.
But you're using your voice to speak up for others, thats what matters. I'm the same, my disability relates to mental health, i get treated able-bodied/brained even though I can't function some days. There's a residual guilt, isn't there? That we're not "disabled enough" so we feel we have it easy.
2 points, 1 its likely that in everyone's lifetime they will either know a family member who's disabled or they themselves will become so before they die. 2, DT's nephew spent several hrs + many other families in his 1st term advocating for several disabled persons, & it fell on deaf ears...
..his take away was that they shouldnt continue to live. It's horrifying that these were passionate advocates detailing how DT could help improve their lives & the families lives, the support could make a huge difference & he wasted their time. Read "All in the family" by Fred Trump III.
Nobody's worth should ever be indexed by their "productivity" (in the very narrow way that it is often used); everybody should be given the things they need to thrive and to fully realise their potential
By the way, if you live anywhere in California or Nevada and could use a therapist familiar with ableism, I have some spots available. You can schedule a free consultation at https://BrianaMills.com! 💜
Have her write a little blurb with her situation and identify the company, and let's put pressure on the company to do the right thing. It worked before with another patient. Need to tag a bunch of people with lots of followers.

My youngest brother is in his 30s and was diagnosed with MS A few years ago. He qualified for long-term disability, Medicaid, and everything necessary to make sure he lives a long life.
As the oldest brother, I will be damned if I let anyone take that away from him.
He’s happily married, his wife works, and his house is still in the same city area as our parents who have always been extremely supportive whenever any of us brothers needed help.
I still remember what I told him when he called to tell me his diagnosis.
your absolutely right and as soon as we god willing impeach or remove trump and his administration asap we can start to reverse all the negative on everything and everyone! only evil cowards harm people especially the less fortunate!
Not only do disabled people deserve to live even if they can't work, I'd argue it's every able bodied persons responsibility within a society to make sure people with disabilities are allowed to thrive. Empathy and understanding go a long way. Way too many people either ignore or forget about that
When I was growing up, I thought that this was bare bones common sense, especially because so much of my family has included disabled people. Imagine my surprise as I reached my teens and young adulthood….
Also, a lot of disabled people DO work 🙄 And not all disabilities are apparent 🤷🏼♀️ People need to simply treat others the way they'd like to be treated. That, and minding their own damn business. It's really not that deep, nor is it difficult, and we shouldn't have to spell it out.
Disabled people who don’t work also contribute to society. They are problem solvers , creative thinkers, team working allies who are economically active in local communities.

To all according to their need
One economic system holds this as principle
Another is Malthusian.
Like, they want slave wage 24/7 factory workers with no benefits. You know what I'd call that? A corpse ditch economy.
All Disabled People deserve dignity and respect.
And folks who say otherwise are surely horrible.
End of statement.

DISABLED PEOPLE DESERVE TO LIVE (and thrive) EVEN IF THEY CAN'T WORK!
From each, According to their ability, to each according to their need.
It is the only way to run a society. What we have now, is not a society, it is a monstrousity.

MAGA seems to choose to forget the lessons of their Bible and God they choose to follow.
We should all be able to pursue happiness.
Most of those freaks get so much back from the IRS every year that they don’t even know that they’re not taxpayers.
Human rights, people. Not taxpayer rights.
