Cork South Central had 7 women of the 14 main party candidates, 1 woman of the 8 independents. It's the least competitive this constituency has been in a long time. 3 did well but not near enough to be elected unfortunately

Yeah, thanks for reminding me of the numbers. I guess bigger parties running little-known candidates with little support for their campaigns presumably to meet quotas seems to be an issue across the country (FF, in particular). Harmon was unlucky in Cork SC, I thought she ran a great campaign

None again for Limerick City this time around. We've only ever had 2 for Limerick City in over 100 years and Limerick County has never, ever in the history of the State elected a woman
