I doubt they're siphoning, or at least not yet. They're getting control so they can purge those who are not loyal to Dear Leader, and choke to death anything they don't like.

I've come to believe the backdoors are the true reason for all this -- they'll get that all done, cover the tracks/delete the data showing they did it, then go "The public has spoken, we'll honor that, DOGE out of everything" and take the PR win for that, and then... access/money forever.
