The value of birthright citizenship is that having a very clear definition of citizen that is not tied to demographics keeps govt from making one that is dependent on demographics. IE deciding Jews don't get to be citizens, or Black folks, or liberals. It's no accident it came during the Civil War.

"Subject has no criminal history" would seem to contradict the "not a very innocent guy" line? But I guess when you've been found guilty of 34 felonies by one judge and jury and adjudicated a rapist by another judge and jury, it's hard to assess the innocence of others.
