While taking care of my mother, every night was torture wondering if she fell or hurt herself. Please take care of you and get help if need be. I truly believe caregivers for the elderly are angels.

That’s so important, Joanne. My mother’s regular caregivers were truly wonderful, but we had a serious incident with a substitute. Luckily, I showed up unexpectedly and caught it before anything really bad happened.

Worst for me was when mom called from the ER and my brother who was local hadn’t bothered to tell me he was going fishing in Canada with no cell service. It is a journey!
