What goes on in each of our heads is our own private business. We may inwardly be vicious, racist, mean, rude or whatever else. So anyone who thinks “he had it coming!” - fair play. But audibly cheering for murder is a negative scoring move in my view.

I personally agree, but it's trickier than it looks. Amorality is a norm, and it's a norm of *success.* The consequences are immense. Not just health care.

People explicitly refer to the killing as akin to the Trolley Problem - the thought exercise about whether it's morally permissable to flip a switch to send a trolley onto a track to kill with certainty 1 person if doing so would cause it to veer from its course where it would kill 5 people.

It is ludicrous! The trolley problem is a great thought experiment for first year moral philosophy or legal ethics courses (“clearly explained, Mr licious. But does your answer change if there was a 10% chance that the trolley would derail before hitting the 5 people? What if it were a coin flip?”)
