For reals. "Trans dinosaurs" for whatever that means, were literally a major plot point of the first movie

The staggering media illiteracy of the right wing explains so much about their political decisions.
It is all surface level, they refuse to dig into deeper substance.
They prefer "common sense" to scientific data, prefer crude, ineffective solutions as a result.
Loud policies over effective ones.

Rexxie shouldn't be able to walk straight out of the paddock.
What was that flimsy fence?
Where's the moat?
Why's there no back up when the main computer is compromised?
Oh?
There's no IT team?
Nedry was an external contractor who was extorted into doing the job?
And everything was reliant on one central supercomputer?
What could go wrong?
The whole park was laughably incompetent in its design; all due to one man being too delusional & too rich for anyone to fix it.
Maybe if the one dude without any expertise in any relevant fields didn't have the final say?
I think more and more that with technology as powerful as it is, giving any one person ultimate control over anything is just a really bad idea.
• Muldoon wanted a team, & an arsenal.
• Dr Wu wanted more docile dinos.
• Gennaro was concerned the dinos had escaped.
• Sattler noted the plants were poison.
• Malcom warned against the computer.
Yeah, the whole thing is a case study in why having one person with ultimate authority has a lot of issues.
The characters make so many, so human mistakes, and the park is a fascinating liminal space to explore.
It is also remarkable how accurate the clones are, and how aware Wu is that they aren't true dinosaurs.
Incapable of admitting faults he downplayed dangers & incidents, and abused his staff constantly.
He needed to be reigned in, and the park was on Isla Nublar as he evaded government intervention & regulation.
Humans suffer from anxiety, dementia, depression, exhaustion, etc etc
So if there's no one capable of intervening when the guy in charge is compromised?
It is a terrible idea.
It was somehow more robust, more stable, and more terrifying than the empire that followed.
The senate class were limited by walking past plebians every day. Striking was a thing, and there were people's tribunals.
