I’d be absolutely stunned if there weren’t threats being prepared to use against any that seek to stray. Also, they tend to look to their own financial future after they leave Congress.

They could also just vote with Democrats without having to switch parties but they’re not doing that. They’ve had innumerable opportunities to prevent what’s happening now from happening but they’re not doing it. I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Marianette Miller-Meeks (IA-1) and Don Bacon (NE-2) are "moderate' Rs who served in the military with distinction. Deep down they have to be squirming -at least go I and don't caucus with Rs? Sure it's a death from the R party. I suspect they are concerned for the safety of their families.

All of them need to fuck off into the sunset. Political moderates are cowards and obstructionists who serve no functional purpose besides getting in everyone's way and preventing anything from getting done one way or the other. Moderates paved the way Trump; they certainly can't get rid of him.
