Look I didn't want to cast Jason. I honestly low key settled on Dev Patel as "bronze skinned man with a sweet disposition concealing a much, much, much darker past", but alas dear reader, my brain has its own opinions that I do not share.
Honestly the voice actor in the @graphicaudio.bsky.social adaptation I listened to (very good, they even did a KannerBeat!) Had me thinking of this guy half the time (it's only because he has a slight British accent, and I'm dumb, this casting is based off nothing)
Once again there's no logic or thought behind it. My very visual brain just latched onto this image and honestly I kinda hate it. I was often trying to deliberately visualize someone else.
Once again I went with the @graphicaudio.bsky.social adaptations, and I do stress they are fully voiced and sound effected adaptations, not just audio books, after @neverendingjim.bsky.social mentioned the importance of the visuals of the writing.
And honestly if I were casting this for tv I would not consider Bill Baily for Mycroft. Something about the voice in the audio dramas tho... I think the voice actor was well cast because his voice is so nice and steady and assuring. There's a reason I thought of a form of Bill Baily.

In all seriousness, this is making me very interested in the audio versions.
