Don't know about other UK households, but my family preps the gift bags in a seperate room, then put them under the tree on 22nd or 23rd

Depends on if there's children in the home- Family gifts get put there as they're gotten and wrapped. Santa drops his stuff off christmas eve.

Once they were wrapped. No one in my house tried to find out what they were or tried to open anything early, so once you wrapped them you just put them there.

As we go, buy and wrap them. But always after the tree has been decorated! 🎄🎁 Whenever that is. Typically within the first 2 weeks of the month.

My family starts to slowly add them in once the tree is up near the beginning of the month, just so the kids can see it slowly growing.
Then, because of our family tradition for Christmas, a couple days before the big day they all get moved to a new bigger setup.

If you have little children that are expecting Santa to do it overnight, then you have to wait until they are in bed on Xmas eve. But once they are older than that, about a week before Xmas, presents start showing up.
