when you turn 16 you get a drivers permit. when you turn 18 you can vote. when you turn 21 you can drink. and when you turn 26... you will begin to understand the importance of a good foldable lawn chair

What if you didn’t get your drivers permit until you were 17 1/2? Do I just wait until 27 1/2 to understand the importance of the foldable chair? Or can I learn from your wisdom and experience?
When you truly become mentally developed you'll understand that 18 should be the minimum age for anything, if you're old enough to sacrifice your life for the military you're old enough to drink or smoke pot or whatever.
and that you can't mooch off your parent's healthcare any more. THAT is when shit really becomes real when you have to pay for it yourself and the bills come to you.
this post is simultaneously so Parent That Does Home Improvement-core and also genuinely, obscenely hard-hitting to me, a 26 year old robot who is increasingly feral about the little things in the world that make life more cozy
When young, the older you get, the dumber your parents get. By the time you finish school you are thinking seriously about putting them in a home. Once you start out in the adult world, they rapidly become smarter and smarter.
In my 30s now. I don't hate the older members of my family, i just pity them. I am significantly more informed, virtuous and liberated than them. I wish i could give them what i know now when they were my age. Just as i hope the more informed younger people will help and challenge me in turn.
this thing is like a brother to me. light and easy to carry so i can get sunshine and touch grass but if i need to sit down and take a break i can. and also its got a drink holder for water or iced coffee
