The issue we're talking about with "health insurance" companies isn't greed, though. These CEOs are responsible for developing & enforcing policies that literally KILL 1000s of people yearly. They are murderers. People shouldn't be surprised if vigilantes act when the govt fails to charge them.
Do you know of an effective non-violent answer?
Key word being effective. If you name things that have been consistently tried for years or decades to no avail, I will doubt your sincerity or knowledge of the subject.
Sneaking up behind somebody and shooting them in the back just doesn't seem reasonable to me. A person could feel the same way about the banker that foreclosed on your house for reasons out of your control which happened to me. I didn't want to kill him, maybe punch him a few times.
If someone voluntarily participates in evil in exchange for money I am not going to lose any sleep over bad things happening to them. But we are talking about the CEO who set the policies, not some faceless amoral cog chasing a paycheck.
Everyone has their limits! Most of us will only get violent under immediate threat of death but a few of us will blow your brains out over a parking space. CEO murder is somewhere in between those
