A collapsing dollar with obscene tariffs is going to have massive effects on the global economy. The US is the largest importer in the world and imports are about to fall off a cliff. You're not insulated from this.
It's going to hit a lot of things, but it's possible there's some recovery already underway for everyone else. China is definitely stepping in for a lot of economic recovery (and eyeing Russia, now, too...).
There's just so many moving parts, it's any number of guesses from a prediction...
It's a little premature to be talking about a recovery when the shit hasn't even hit the fan yet. I don't think people understand what's about to happen.
The global economy will recover by is reorganizing itself, without the U.S. The terrible part of this is that all the millions of Harris voters will be transported back to the bare shelves of Soviet Russia, along with the MAGA asshats.
Here we go?Trump's word Salad saying everything is Great 👍 What a fucking loser! America time to tell your kids no new clothes for school? Sorry to your kids wife husband Sorry can't afford Christmas this year
initially the us economy. but if the usd collapses and bonds collapse, that will hit the global economy. that being said, the us will take much longer to recover bc everyone will be trading w/everyone else. it will be a matter of what replaces the dollar: euro or BRIC or ?? and how long that takes
Impressive banker creds usually involves defrauding thousands and causing massive bubbles and market crashes, destroying the economy of millions of people and profiting from it like a gorging tick.
But that domino was Asia (closed factories and shipping). This will affect the US more than anyone else. The rest of the world still has pre Trump madness trade
I mean, I saw a lot of confidence the 2008 Great Recession here wouldn’t impact Europe and it did, and we’re even more interconnected as a world now than we were then.
That was a financial collapse and that world is a house of cards. This is trade and so I think this is a different situation. Trump stuck tariffs on Australian beef despite having a free trade agreement with us. The reaction is to sell beef elsewhere and boycott products from the US 🤷🏼♂️
this is very impeachable just on the fact that donald trump promised in his campaign that he and his administration knew how to "fix" the economy but obviously have no idea what they are doing besides cashing in on market manipulation. they intentionally cause verifiable damage to the country
I thought it was impeachable because he can't legally be President under the 14th Amendment for the insurrection he was IMPEACHED for? Oh, wait, that's part of that "Constitution" that Republicans stopped honoring 1/7/21.
His MANY DOZENS of OVERTLY CORRUPT acts and Constitutional violations however🤔
This is why they're planning to send the military into the streets in 3 months. They know exactly what is coming. Buckle up this is going to be a wild summer.
I've heard reports that Chinese manufacturers are now demanding advance payment for products to be shipped to the US because so many companies are refusing to pay (or unable to pay) Trump's exorbitant tariffs when the products arrive in port. https://bsky.app/profile/onestpress.onestnetwork.com/post/3lnyd5x6zas2b
Hi, I'm in Canada we're not subject to these stupid tariffs so could you USians please stop posting these things as if they're relevant to anyone but yourselves???
I, of course, am just poking fun here, Trump is a moron who entirely has both misread the strength of the US and overestimate the value of its financial influence.
The rest of the world is just going to walk around and over you, good luck Trump, your ego will destroy the US.
It would take months to get things in order. And unfortunately, other countries have moved on, for example, soybeans from Brazil, not the US. Billions of dollars lost. Nobody trusts the US, and with trumps continual flip flops, there’s no way to plan for the future. To quote a friend, we’re fucked.
Christmas products land in October at the latest. They get ordered now. How can retailers order toys, lights and wrapping paper that is 150% more expensive than it was last year. No one will buy it. 👀
Every company impacted here needs to individually file suit against the Trump Administration on the basis that the International Economic Emergency Powers Act (IEEPA) has been used illegally. No class actions. Make them defend 1,000s of cases.

More like kiss the US economy good bye
Americans are so full of themselves

Even though yanks are very good at breaking it.

Here it is.
