Is Guardians of the Galaxy 3 as good as people said? I have yet to see it due to MCU burnout, but surprisingly haven’t really been spoiled much… other than knowing it’s apparently really sad.

It’s AMAZING. The best out of the trilogy for me. And you don’t have to watch non-guardian movies to understand this one for the most part. You at least should watch the Christmas special though if you haven’t
And the villain? He made not be as recognizable as thanos but the actor pulls all the stops into wanting you to love to HATE him and make you remember him
Wouldn't know, but honestly I prefer how Square Enix made the GotG in that videogame. Especially with how much justice they did for Jax, and Mantis even outside of their skills in melee combat.
It is. It was immune to my burnout because I was able to isolate it to the previous 2 movies. Same with Captain America 4, since it connects back to the Incredible Hulk, which I love.
Basically anything that required me to watch multiple whole Disney plus shows to understand was a no.
I'd say it's the only movie in the trilogy that hits you in the feels very hard. As for the story itself personally, it's really good but not as good as Vol. 2 IMO. But I think it was close enough to surpass it, it just had some flaws that I couldn't help but notice lol
GotG3 is one of the better films to come out of Disney recently after Endgame so I would definitely recommend it. I will say though the only knit pick i have is that you have to have knowledge outside of the GotG movies which is mostly of the fault of Disney, and the Christmas special but that's it
Not bad, not as good as 2 though. Annoyingly does that ship sinking thing when it comes to couples and a wasted opportunity for a character that was introduced at the end of that movie. But otherwise wraps up some storylines and has fun doing it. Might wanna watch the GotG Holiday...1/>
"Really Sad" is a light way of putting it. After watching it once, I decided there and then that I'm done with superhero movies tearing my heart out time and time again 😭
I just wanna have *fun* at the movies. Leave the emotional stuff to the soaps and docu-dramas 🙃
It's good.
Buuuuuuut... 9ne character (new to the MCU) is VASTLY different from how they're portrayed in the comics... so die hard fans of that character might be pissed by the squandered opportunity.
Otherwise, it's really good. Wish Thor had returned for it.
Depends on your tolerance to animal cruelty and how much you think of the implications of character design. I loved the movie, it made me cry every time with Rocket. But no joke, I plan on never watching it again.
I think that might’ve been another reason why I avoided it. Rocket’s my favorite and I noticed the trailers getting all emotional and focusing on him. And… yeah, I didn’t wanna deal with that. XD
I would honestly think so, yes, as I'm sure some friends of mine can attest to. But if you're not convinced, I'd definitely recommend checking it out for yourself and decide if it is worth the praise (but imo, it kinda is).

it's still a happy-ending Marvel movie like all others (except really good)

Others could correct or add onto it if there is more.
A must watch

So basically nothing new for the MCU Guardians movies
And yeah, I get the MCU burnout. But I might watch the Spider-Man show when I get the time and will to.
I’ll likely check it out soon.
