yeah i end up zoomrotating a LOT and you can get into really deep angles super quickly. price is a huuuuge factor for not getting one though since the best version i feel are the larger mice
I was bugging Dani to get one for over a year π€ it's hard to convince people that it's worth it due to the high cost, but it truly is one of the very rare instances of a device that is worth the pricetag. And great for easing wrist pain!
Cool, I always wondered about this 3d navigation gizmos for sculpting. I knew them from when I worked as an intern (I made the brochures there) at an engineering company and they had them for CAD
It is!! I recommend it a lot! Steep price and maybe a day's adjustment period is all you have to sacrifice haha! The ergonomic benefit it provides is so good π My hands cramp a lot and it's already so much more comfortable than hovering the ctrl alt shift area of the keyboard
Oooo gotcha!! Damn. Looks like I need to save up for this. I love the idea of not needing the keyboard as much haha. Thatβs awesome itβs helped your hand as well!! This seems super useful
Yeah and you can make every single button a radial menu too if that's what you like! To skip out on more button pressing π definitely go for the bigger version imo! But not necessarily the Enterprise model hehe
Ironically used as the pilot controls for the Rocinante (spaceship) one season on The Expanse. I thought it was funny at the time but the vid that QP'd this post shows it was a perfect 3D zero G Newtonian flight control system O_O
Haha yeah!!! My girlfriend got it for me after she heard me talk about it ππβ€οΈ surprisingly, its a non issue for hand size given the ergonomic grip!! Im still getting used to my own macros but its saved me 2 clicks just navigating each time and its so buttery smooth ππ
I now love your gf forever! π I really am so damn happy for you right now haha. And yet so amazed it's not more of a common tool for artists. People are missing out.
she has a LOT of fans for being as great as she is ππ ill pass that along haha!!
Honestly i agree! Though i feel the steep price for entry is the biggest barrier. The smallest version exists but i dont think 2 buttons with radial functionality might cut it for most people π i prefer the larger!
After having tried this I really can't recommend the smaller one too much unless literally navigation is all you're using it for π i find that i actually ended up using all the buttons and even needed a radial menu too π i was shocked at how well supported it was in Zbrush as well! Fantastic stuff π

Also glad you got the 2nd biggest one (i know, small hands). π

Yeah the small 2 button one is nearly worthless unfortunately π
