Actually, the very first movie featuring a Mustang was... Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez, with Louis de Funès 😂 Released on the 11 September 64, exactly 6 days before the London première of Goldfinger! #PubFact

At that time Ford France's boss Henri Chemin was very active and had a lot of friends in the movie industry. That's also why the Mustang (and GT40) features so prominently in Claude Lelouch's "A Man and a Woman" 😉
