The linked article suggests the US will walk away from diplomatic efforts to achieve peace. Seems eminently sensible seeing as they don't seem to have much talent for it. The more important question for me is whether this means withdrawing military support for Ukraine.

Why wouldn't he though? He had always been a huge supporter of Putin. He has said several times it was Zelensky that started the war. He never hid who and what he was devoted to. Why would anyone be surprised that he would offer Zelensky and Ukraine to Putin on a silver platter?
