You forgot the part about asking it to instrument itself so you can look at an otel trace to ensure the thing it wrote does the thing you hope for.

Same benefit from instrumenting outsourced code.

I'm liking this article, but there's one thing I'm not clear about. Is there a way in Claude (Pro, not the Github-attached Enterprise) to create a folder hierarchy in the project? If not, how does the `tre` output help?

IME the tre call helps it disambiguate files like page.tsx in nextjs files. Alternatively you can prefix each filename with the folder structure but I was too lazy to do that. tre worked pretty well for me!

Also tools like Cursor and Windsurf can just index your codebase directly.
