#Ohio folx, I’m not sure y’all understand the effects of SB 1 (which passed senate, is up in house, & gov. has said will sign). No more tenure means top 20% of faculty leave - & take funding w/ them. Restrictions on subject matter for teaching means history, women’s studies, Black studies, comparative studies, etc. all DONE. I have faculty worried about whether they can even study effects between genders of medical interventions. So good luck with heart disease, ladies! We’re cooked. 2/

Ohio, as a state, is going to fall so very far in terms of education - all to stick it to trans people and exert control that they don’t even want!! Here’s an idea: when it passes (& w/ supermajority, it’ll pass), just flood them with questions - is this ok? This? Make them regret life choices. 3/
