This is something I've learned we need to discuss more. At some point, like Linda says, IF WE'RE LUCKY, we'll need to become fluent in disability care, insurance, etc. We'll need to be connected to a community that can support us through this. It's exhausting AND I feel lucky that I can do it.

Yes, occasionally you get the fantasy of people living peacefully and unchanged until they’re 100 and then dying in their sleep, but it doesn’t usually go that way.
