My guess is bird flu. It's spreading cow-to-cow in herds right now.
The milk is safe to drink IF IT HAS BEEN PASTEURIZED (don't drink raw milk, friends), but for safety reasons they're avoiding it.

Yeh, but it's really good milk. Of course you can get the $3.00 milk next to it, but it is more "burpy", especially if you're lactose intolerant. Admittedly I can't bring myself to pay $7.30 for 2L...
