I think it takes a genuine lack of empathy to engage in these tools, especially when we know how they were built. There may be no "ethical consumption under capitalism", but that doesn't mean you can't stand for anything.

I really feel people getting sucked into this tech are (maybe unwittingly) becoming enemy here. Sure, the tech is inevitable, and hard liners like me will get ejected. But I'll sleep well at night knowing I was on the right side of history on this, at least

If you're running a studio that allows AI art to be used in any capacity, you're not a people first studio. You dont get to pretend you care.

I see a lot of people wave it off with "using it for ideation" or "just as a tool in the process". That means you're still okay with the scraping of all our work
