We are far from a runaway greenhouse, this would need a hotter sun. Will take another 150 or 200 million years. Nevertheless we are seeing an unprecedented speed of temperature increase and an enormous energy imbalance (4 times higher compared to 2004). We might see a blue ocean event in 2035.

Just for laughs one day I calc'd the energy of our SST 0.6°C rise/40yrs. Converted to TNT units to visualize. Top cm. yields ~8000 Hiroshima bombs captured. 2x or 3x for decrease w depth. 600 Hiroshima bomb's energy absorbed/year

I own an imaginative mind but sometimes I am at a loss, when trying to visualise the disaster we -as a species- are creating for our planet. Dooming so many animals and ourselves. Probably a good thing, seeing it in full would be the road to desperation.
