Elated to share that I am the winner of the 2025 Drosophila Image Award.
Shown here is a pupal retina containing dyl mutant clones (green) stained for chitin (blue, grey) and cell junctions (red). Chitin is apically deposited over the wild type ommatidia but absent over the dyl mutants.
