First not enough AI to be worth the effort. Second, I have to imagine there is a huge tech barrier to allow it OR the competition would be too fierce and the moat would break. Those are the only two reasons I can think of why this is lacking.

STT and TTS are both AI powered.

Huge tech barrier? There isn't. I know the connect code base. I could build and ship this in 5 days.

The moat is broken. I lose multiple connect deals per week to implementations that allow SOTA TTS/TTS models.

Transcribe and Polly lost the price/perf/cost curve.

The tech barrier of streaming or forking high fidelity, low latency, real time multi party audio. The only just works service that can do it is Chime, I'm still waiting for the Chime to Connect marriage.
