I thought he was referring to the whistleblow complaint against her using expenses claims for high living costs including presents for friends. If true it smacks of the freebie scandal reeves and Starmer engaged in ‘24. If it’s a pattern of behaviours incl lying about her roles, it’s more worrying

None of this was upheld and was denied by HBOS, it was tittle tattle by disgruntled ex colleagues. Whatever we may think about freebies it's not against the rules (it should be) and the media and others carry on as if Starmer was the first MP in history to accept a gift.

Me too, I'm a Scot if there's a choice between the EU and the UK it's a no brainer. But as I now live in England I'm glad we've got a Labour government even though they're not perfect.

I’d be the same in your shoes, I left England in ‘21 after 37 years to come home. My kids and grandkids are still there and vote labour as the least worse option, but they’re fed up. We’ve just had an election in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 with 26% turnout.. apathy and disengagement support fascism sadly

Claire I voted Labour for 46 years, I am a socialist. After living thro Tory austerity I looked forward to another Labour govt in WM. I am really disappointed. I wanted no chronyism, care for the vulnerable and a reassertion of the economy in a values led way. I didn’t get it & I’m naffed off

Yes they do, and I wish my views were nonsense too. I’m fed up waiting but I don’t think there’s a silver bullet. I think we need a citizens convention, discussion on 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 future then a GE’29 de facto ref. Then we’re out the door after a transition period. Satisfying the international community too
