I keep "saved items" long term so that when I check my cart I can see if anything i need has decreased in prices. A couple of days ago MANY of the items went up significantly. Not by a few cents, but by large percentages. What a racket. The Black Friday sale Amazon has today is lousy in general.

They've been doing this for a long time I had several items in my cart I've been tracking the price on. For their Black Friday sale they raised the price and then took it down to a discount saying that it was a Black Friday special and it was the same price that it was before.

Yes I noticed this. Huge price hike & magic discount 🙄 I am buying locally this year - & have re-discovered craft markets & got some excellent hand made bargains that will be kept & used. Also universal book tokens from the local bookshop - not Waterstones tokens.

Amazon is a last resort retailer for me. I'm not sure when I last made a purchase from them. And I haven't shopped there regularly since pre-2010. If only I could manage to get some of my family to shop elsewhere. 🤔

I have 2 products that are only sold on Amazon. I understand why manufacturers do this— far easier to have them manage logistics— but I hate it.

Sometimes, there are no suitable substitutions for a product, or everyone is completely out, and you need it ASAP with only Amazon offering that 2 day/smae day shipping. For some individuals, Amazon is the only shopping choice due to limited physical stores available (with limited selection).

I use the Amazon website to search for products, read reviews,etc. but then buy directly from the smaller business if possible. Or use Target online.

Ugh! I will not be renewing Prime Membership and will donate that money to an environmental nonprofit. I've always shopped locally, but am guilty of indulging in the ease of Amazon. No more.

Amazon is garbage. Most of the products have fake reviews and you have to worry about getting counterfeit stuff. It was a nice experiment but I’d rather just buy stuff in a store or from a smaller business that knows what they are selling.

Finally we are waking up to do something about Amazon. There are a lot of allegations on their business practices. Unfortunately there was never an official investigation launched. Maybe it's time for one.
