It is such a phenomenally horrendous thing to do to claim you want to fix education by decimating it at every level. Anyone who covers this as anything other than an attempt to destroy the lives of the next generation below us needs to be booted out of American life.

This isn’t even considering the extreme danger this does to kids with special needs, to college access for poor folks, to teachers, principals, and rural school districts who rely on this funding to keep their kids educated.

There is no private entity coming to save poor or rural kids and give them a free education. There is no market for an equitable education system. All that stands in between you and your kids getting free access to education and better opportunities is the DOE whether you like it or not.

Public Education is one of the best things any country can do, and any move to weaken it or funnel funding to private schools makes us weaker as a country
