Axios pointed out this means that people who would've likely just quit anyway, walk away instead with 6+ months of salary for no work.

Also, it will be a lot easier for managers to tell bad employees they can take this 6 month's severance or go through a firing process, so I expect fewer people will be fired for cause anymore - but under Trump they'll cost more to get rid of.
