As @rmac.bsky.social reported, as a VP at Meta, Kaplan obstructed moderation of conservative content, stymied rollout of products & features that would reduce polarization or curb the spread of lies, intervened on behalf of popular conservative influencers & politicians who violated Facebook rules.

i think nick clegg got the job because of his position of access when he was propping up the cameron government.

i would bet he knew specifics about FB, cambridge analytica, etc...how FB was tied not just to brexit but to other places. FB helped orgs like cambridge analytica manipulate populations
