He spent his final days informing his followers about the election before closing it and moving here.
Protest isn't always convenient.

Yeah, a couple of people accused me of farming engagement, trying to profit off of the US election news.
That’s one of the few things that actually got under my skin, since it was exactly the opposite 😅 I was doing it knowing it would tank my Twitter account.
Enjoying what feels so far like a healthy and engaged community here. Long may it continue.
Yeah, Bluesky has that “community” feel that has been missing from Twitter. Hopefully it sticks around!
Gets the community moving. ☺️
Plus, you're free to talk about whatever without it tanking your next post from what I can tell
Good riddance.
I'm not trying to argue in favour of Masto or anything; I'm just curious where I should invest my time for various projects going forward.
I was never big on Twitter so I have nothing to compare against 😅
I got quite a few reports of people missing the pre-order we did because of that.
Thanks for the insight and sorry it affected you that way with the pre-order.
But Andy, how to remember the domain name 😅 I tried to type it few times, then used autocomplete :)
Is it possible to write a post for you related to UI/UX, looks like a good place for having a publication.
Will you offer a backlink to my blog for a HQ (well, as much as I can) post? :)
Not for advertising, but for SEO purposes, in profile or anywhere, if it's do-follow
I believe your quality is the same as in SmashingMag, so it'll be a challenge to write something decent
For example, when I had ~10K followers in 2021, there was a term for me, called "Launch on twitter", same as launching on PH.
And putting a direct link and getting 100 retweets wasn't something unrealistic... sigh
Some people are financially reliant on Twitter. It's harder for them to walk away, so let's make sure we support them when they do.
I wouldn't remove all tweets, I think, but sooner or later will do the same—closing an account is a better alternative than removing it completely.
The only challenge is to move good followers here or in newsletter.
Like a fresh start, no bots, clean UI
It's one thing for people like me to be here and ignore X, it's another thing entirely for him.
Also Josh's blog posts are 🔥🔥🔥 really enjoy those.
Done 😄
Until I hit my last day of my remaining subscription, this is the only way I’ll still post there
