i put my head on a friend's shoulder when i was 13 (he was a boy) and got screamed at and dragged into the principal's office about it
then when i wouldn't apologise they suspended me, barred me from the school camp and kicked me off my sports teams
loved school, very normal place

Whatβs the dumbest thing you ever got in trouble at school for?
Comments
but basically they can be summarised as "people on a power trip encountered girl who wouldn't submit to irrational & hysterical power plays & got mad about it"
apparently a note went out about me to my teachers ahead of time
very. normal. place. π
"chantal? oh. i've HEARD about YOU"
& after they declared that touching the opposite gender was banned, well, it was fair game
I'm assuming the latter, given the other posts below, but I'm just checking.
I was not in the toilets, I was sat in a shaded area like 7 meters away, friend and I were opposite sexes.
Teacher thought this warranted disciplinary action.
I was just chilling in the shade waiting for my friend.
I was well behaved, never caused trouble, just blamed for it
lost people with fragile egos trying to defend what they perceive as personal vulnerability by launching an offense
Teacher: βwe donβt want to tarnish your record, so weβll give it to him anywayβ
If you get in trouble for nothing, thereβs no incentive to follow the rules
