Given the apparently widespread public support for keeping TikTok available after Sunday, it's really too bad that there isn't some body that could pass something ... a law, maybe ... to repeal the April 2024 statute—and then send it to the President to ... I don't know ... sign it, or something?

If it's such a bad policy, maybe repeal it?
What's going to change their minds now?
(You're still right, of course, I'm just not feeling optimistic about the chances)
repubs will blame dems, but also want a payout.
the payout might end up with Elon. i know that sounds... crazy?, but then so is Elon and his advice to Trump. Trump wants truth social to continue to be a viable money laundering scheme, so...
That's the point.
I'm not excited about TikTok specifically (seems like a bad product) but "consuming foreign propaganda" just seems like exactly what the First Amendment should be protecting.
Can we lobby for an EO to negate speeding laws too? Maybe just speed cameras. Since, what's the point of passing laws if they don't matter. 🤷♂️

Bytedance has agency.
Or are you just another person freely handing over your data to tech oligarchs who are an active threat to democracy while being xenophobic?
