Tonight my young kids, who watched a show about climate change and were scared, were asking me questions. I did my best to answer honestly without scaring them more. The hardest part was the voice in my head saying that we’re the only species smart enough to destroy ourselves with our stupidity.

My colleagues stop listening, after hearing "catastropic" and "we're going to die". If it is not happening in their lifetime, they do not believe it is happening. Frustrating.
