Well…was forward for once and told my boss during my review that I wanted a promotion to have the same job title as everyone else on my team since I’m doing the same work as them. 😬

While they’re discussing it, be on the lookout for similar positions elsewhere. That way you’re prepared if they decline the promotion (or worse). It’s always the right move to protect your interests, because the company cares about the company.
Heck yes! That’s amazing! Advocating for yourself isn’t always easy, but you did it! You absolutely deserve that title, and I hope your boss sees that too. Fingers crossed for you! 💖✨
Nice! Communication is key, any good manager is going to want to support you and be an enabler - there’s usually just some process to follow, building a case to get HR and their own boss to sign off.
As someone who was an Engineer I while people with less experience, less time in the company, and less responsibility got promotions and raises beyond me, I'm glad you advocated to get yourself where you should be.
Proud of you! If you have the appetite for it, you could look at the job market and figure out if there are similar opportunities x if you were to get an offer elsewhere, it could be great for bargaining 👍

They won’t ever give anything to you unless you advocate for yourself! So good on you.
