It only saves money if they also ban poor people from actually using medical care.
Repugs want poor people to die in the street.
These cuts are going to have people literally abandoned as they lay helpless in a room alone until they die in agonizing pain from injuries that will be left untreated.
But Elon will save less that a single private jet trip's worth of fuel to make it happen

- They are cutting benefits because they don't want us to get them and never have;
