People have been brainwashed with the concept of nonviolence. Child, learn your history đź‘Ź. You can't be nonviolent to those violating you every single day. Power concedes nothing without a demand.

My fellow Americans need to learn about the Battle of Blair Mountain and the rest of the bloody history of the labor movement. There is a long history of political violence in this country.
Sadly, people are obsessed with big, flashy marches, but forget the grassroots movements that built up to those marches in order to make them effective. People keep skipping the essential foundation of resistance. Communities need to band together to begin the process.
We're trying in the North East Suburbs, too. I literally flew home from FL today (visiting some family), and MN is the only place that feels safe to me right now.
Non violence did NOT work completely for MLK jr. He needed malcom x just as much as malcom needed him. Yes, verbal protest is important, but no it won't get us anywhere by itself. The only way a difference will be made is if we move past the nonviolent protests.
Can you name someone filling this role? Starving yourself to death or getting yourself killed for the cause?
Jesus himself would be arrested today, he could not pass TSA as long haired, brown, middle eastern non english speaking guy giving out food to the poor and telling the rich off?
We don’t have to get violent though. The practice of civil disobedience would work as well but Americans can’t even come
together fully to do that. Boycotts and nation wide work strikes would work. Refusing to follow unjust laws but people easily bow down here because we’re afraid.
You'll be surprised if a cooperation is losing 20m a day because they refuse to pay 1m. They do give in. But you have to stick with it. Unions help. Here, strike is a right, you can't get fired for that
You think very French or Spanishđź‘ŤHere they call a national strike and EVERYTHING stops. Some fights between police and protesters but in general, peaceful. All of a sudden, things change. It works. But in America except local unions, they can't come together. They do not have money for a week strike.
That’s the part I wouldn’t know how we would work around. Many corporations will not pay people to not go to work and people can’t miss their pay…it’s a vicious cycle.
So true People want to blame boomers for everything yet we had the courage to fight Yrs some of us died ,but nothing worth having goes without consequence
