So, can we in Ontario just ask a pharmacist for a COVID booster if we are 6 months from our last one, whatever risk group we may or may not belong to? I've been waiting for news of "guidance" on this from public health, and it seems to be the usual crickets.

Here in bc I go to one of my local pharmacists for a covid booster spring and fall. I am a senior so not sure if that factors into my eligibility. I thought I heard thru the grapevine that a new booster will be available in April.

I do not know. I'm not sure if the computer system will deny a vaccine if you are no longer considered eligible for a booster every six months? I was able to do it because my last shot was across the border, so not on the record here in Ontario.

I went to a travel clinic before I traveled to Bolivia in South America. I still picked up a major flu. Pretty sure I got it from the layover in Brazil. They are a waste of money

My husband and I each received a Covid vaccine 3 weeks ago. I had Novavax in the US in Sept. My husband had his in Waterloo. No problem.

Even if we weren’t travelling, we still would have gotten our boosters. Our next door neighbour was admitted to the hospital with an MI, and came home with Covid, then gave it to his wife. Didn’t wear masks. I spent 8 days in the hospital last Dec. and wore a mask faithfully. No covid.

My last one was 'off the books' because I crossed the border and paid for Novavax in the fall. So I was eligible for one in Ontario. I will continue to get a booster every six months where possible.

That's good to hear! Seems like a no-brainer to recommend it. I know so many people who paid good money for a trip and then spent the week or two sick with Covid instead of enjoying their vacation because they were infected on the plane.
