Maybe his best opening para. Maybe.
Unless we are talking about super-specialised fields, I think it's a boon to have people who are colleagues talk about their work like this.
For me that is especially true for writers, if they can leave their ego out on the lawn with the African Spurred Tortoise for long enough.
There are things in there, things King explains, that are just as scary as the books and movies he discusses.
(I almost said Harlan Ellison, but IIRC Ellison credited the quip to Bloch.)
