Yeah, I appreciate the sentiment of the War of Independence cosplay, but the Tea Party isn't far enough back for it not to cause brand confusion in my mind. I think the Union Army cosplay would be more effective, but I'm also wary because of the role those same outfits had in Indigenous genocide.

I 100% agree. In the same way that we now are reclaiming the use of the Canadian flag, away from the Convey folks (Canada's Jan 6ers) I think it's really important, I just don't know how to convey, in image terms, that they're different ideologies.

The movements tend to attract visually different people for one.

But no, I’d say it isn’t a problem. Movements exist in their own context. The aim is what it looks like to uninformed outsiders, not a hypothetical person doing a comparison.

Yes. MAGA is breaking the current system. We are in a revolution. Everything - massive wealth redistribution- breaking up monopoly - UBI genuine social safety net should be on the table.
