That's true some of the time but not for a product like a coffee. The price isn't determined by production cost, just market optimization. The new cost is more likely to be paid by business owners, employees, or suppliers.

To help people understand, I think we should make it clear that US importers pay the tariffs to the US government. The importers then raise their selling prices to offset the tariffs they had to pay to the US government. So, that’s how “we” end up paying for the tariffs.
