Gotta just turn it around when he gets off the horse. Like awkwardly stand away from people like he’s checking his fly and you hear the metal creaking sound when he fixes it.
Imagine telling the guy who wore this that hundreds of years fro now hundreds if not thousands of people will glance at his bulge for a few seconds in a manner he could not comprehend.
Last year I did a landsknecht costume for a rein fair and my coworkers were like you should wear it to work. I was like the pants have a flap on the crotch to put a codpieces in so I can tell the enemy how big my balls are
They should include both; if women fighting back then was more commonplace, it’s likely that boob-plate armor would have existed in some form (likely whatever would have been considered in vogue at the time)
Not really? The amount of padding you have to wear means it evens out anyway. And that's before you get into the idiocy of putting a dent right over your sternum.
It would have looked more like samus's chest armor if anything, you can't have 2 separate boob pockets without creating a channel in the armor that catches an arrow or sword, the last thing you want armor to do.
Actually I’ve been informed by a knight larper that back then they tucked up. Everyone did apparently. We only tuck down today and think it’s the naturalest thing.

This is my only takeaway from observing this boner-bulge whatever armour.
In a world where women fighters are common, I s'pose it might be different. 🤔
Also I've seen some pretty dangerous cod pieces in games. 😂
