My gawd, what a beautiful moth. Weirdly, it is social media that got me really looking at many insects, esp moths. For the first time I saw a hummingbird hawk moth in my garden last summer and I was thrilled.

I work mostly as an illustrator & paint-maker these days, but I'm also a medical scientist, & used to be a data analyst. I'm very tired.

I know some folks find it odd that I use a screen-reader & also do detailed drawing.

Drawing is a lot about muscle memory as well as eyeballs. I have super-strong specs for drawing, an amazing accessibility aid! I don't wanna wear em 24-7 tho.

(Also people use readers for all kindsa reasons, eh.)

- Not everything u make has to become something.

- It's practice.

- Art always is, was, & forever will be political.

- Take rests.

- Sharpen ur fucken pencils.

I mostly learned paint-making & drawing on my own, often via other artists/makers who posted on social/blogs.

So I will try to return the favour by sharing what I've learned. Sadly I have the social skills of a small potato & limited spoons. So I'm not fast, witty, or subtle.
